My work is connected to the process of transformation. It is meant to challenge the physicality, solidity, and gravity of reality.   I am completely enamored by the stages of dramatic change butterflies undergo within a single life time. They are not only the embodiment of metamorphosis, but also correlate to the soul and crossing over into the spiritual realm.  This series of work reflects transcendence beyond the physical level and into the expansion of other realms. Through my creative process, I am confronting the dualities of the internal and the external, the physical and the energetic, the form and the formless; in an effort to integrate these elements, merging them together.  Gravity plays a vital role in conveying this process.  Through creating images that display both lightness and heaviness, grounding and ascending can be perceived simultaneously.
